Food Machinery Grease
Categories: Grease

Multipurpose, extreme pressure, premium quality NLGI No. 2 grease designed to lubricate food machinery and canning equipment, especially where incidental contact with the food may occur.

Food Machinery Grease is pure white, odourless and tasteless. It is manufactured from pharmacopoeia grade white mineral oil with a special aluminium complex thickener and contains rust and oxidation inhibitors and extreme pressure additives. All ingredients meet Section 178-3570 of the US Food and Drug Administration regulations and it is approved by AQIS as a Lubricant Type A - for use wherever food or food products may be subject to incidental contact with the lubricant.

RECOMMENDED USE

Designed to lubricate machinery and equipment used in producing, manufacturing, packaging, processing, preparing, treating, transporting or holding food. Offers the safety and convenience of serving all grease points in the plant due to its high load carrying capacity and multipurpose characteristics

Suitable for plain and anti-friction bearings, slides, guides and other moving parts. It may be used in equipment not associated with food and as such represents an excellent grease for rationalisation.

Useable temperature range in continuous service is -30 to 160°C.

Maximum temperature for short term exposure is 210°C.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

  • Protects against rust and corrosion, especially bearings and other moving parts subjected to wet conditions (high humidity, water washing, steam, etc). It also protects during periods of machine downtime.
  • Resists water washout and provides a seal against the entrance of water, and fruit and vegetable juices into bearings.
  • Compatible with and maintains its consistency in the presence of beverages and food juices.
  • Multipurpose, extreme pressure grease suitable for varied services within a plant as well as food applications. This helps to rationalise grease grades.
  • Resists oxidation and has high stability against chemical change
  • Has high mechanical stable. It is shear stable and maintains its consistency when severely worked in bearings.

  • For use whenever food or food products may be subject to incidental contact with the lubricant. If any incidental contact occurs, the grease will not affect the colour, odour or taste of the food product. The grease is packaged in food-grade containers.
