D-C-Tron® Cotton is now a 1L/ha defoliant spray oil formulation.

For more than 20 years D-C-Tron Cotton at 2L/ha has been the defoliant spray oil which others have tried to match. Now, we’ve released our new 1L/ha formulation D-C-Tron Cotton, to give you peace of mind at an economical rate. With approval to use with the Dropp range, a new benchmark in defoliant spray oils has been set. Read summaries of the trials on the technical updates page.

D-C-Tron® Cotton improves the performance of defoliation chemicals by:

• reducing droplet rebound so more mixture is retained on the leaf surface;

• reducing the resistance between the leaf surface and the droplet to allow spreading over a larger area of the leaf;

• softening the cuticle, allowing easier penetration of the active ingredients;

• readily emulsifying in water to improve tank mix characteristics, thus minimising the chances of sedimentation, flocculation or creaming of the mixture; and

• controlling the evenness of chemical distribution in the spray mix so the plants receive a uniform concentration of the active ingredients.

D-C-Tron® Cotton is a reliable and trusted performer and still the only defoliant aid recommended on the Dropp label. Always refer to defoliant chemical labels for full mixing and compatibility instructions.
